SUCCESSFUL DRESSING
This is a list for simple but smart dressers.
Not for wild gypsies who love large earrings, wild skirts and tight leather pants.
The focus is on an elegant look for women who want to invest in racing forward by being appealing and considered well adjusted.
For wild gypsies I recommend that you use your heart and passion. I like a good admiring glance from my friends and especially from men but I know it is for only one night and not a long future.
Focus on long term investment in good clothing:
*Create the look that works for you and trust that you look fabulous. Your unique look and original style.
*Travel through life light. Quality is more durable than quantity.
*Work out your proportion, coloring and style and then dress accordingly.
*Mix clothing that is inexpensive with quality accessories. Sometimes we need more dash than cash.
*Always have quality belts, bags, shoes, jackets, gloves and scarves that can be bought at sales, vintage shops and secondhand outlets.
*Assemble appropriate luggage; Good briefcase, versatile overnight bag, strong and durable case for flying. Do not ruin your unique look with a lousy bag.
*Inexpensive items do best in solid colors like brown, black, charcoal or navy.
*Men’s departments are good for quality T-shirts, jackets and some shirts.
*Collect authentic jewelry. Make sure that the size and style of the jewelry fits your look. No use wearing big earrings when you are a physically slight person who dresses in tailored suits.
*Always make sure that clothes are a good fit and suit your style. Ensure that your legs look best in the length of skirt you have chosen and the right shoes enhance the style. Jeans look appealing without holes and in a solid color. The fit should be easy not so tight that it has creases at the back of your legs. Long tops work best to disguise bums that are not perfect. Blazers always look smart and the fit should work comfortably when you can fold your arms over your solders without stress of material gathering around the top of your arms.
*Good shoes make the outfit authentic.
*The right handbag can you make you look cool, classy or just like an old housewife. Make sure your handbag is the right size, in good condition and makes every woman want one just like yours.
*Simple hair and make-up. Short hair is often more flattering than the usual shoulder length styles that many girl/women wear. Only die your hair if you must. Try to avoid make up with exaggerated colors and styles that clash with your neat elegant appearance.
*Good posture makes you look fabulous. Exercises make you look young when you are old, firm when you are fat and energetic when you are tired. It does not demand that you become a gym bunny but fit and ready for life is desirable.
*Maintain the quality of your clothing and accessories. Use good hangers and fold clothing before storage.
*Use a cupboard or area that is well organized for your attire.
*Repair zips, buttons and split seams.
*Ignore fads. Use them sparingly.
*Accessories are important to convey personal style and impart a feeling of success. Wear jewelry that is expensive or authentic, exciting bags, quality shoes and dark glasses that declare mystery and an expression on your face that says “life is fabulous!”
Be firm and strong.
